Carrot, Apple, Ginger Juice

Ingredients:
• 1-2 red or golden apples.
  Core apples/remove seeds.
• 5 med carrots scrubbed well.
  Remove green tops & trim ends.
• 1/2 - 1" fresh ginger root washed

*Organic fruits recommended

 


 
Almond Shake

Program 6

Ingredients:
• 1 cup blanched almonds
• 1 frozen banana, sliced
• 1 1/2 cup low fat milk (or non-fat or soymilk)
• 2 Tbs. honey
• 1/4 tsp. pure almond extract

Place all ingredients in the blender and process on program 6 (or 80% for 2 seconds, 75% for 58 seconds). Serve chilled or at room temperature. Makes 2 medium shakes.

*Special note from Martina:
Add a handful or two of strawberries to this shake. The flavor is amazing. So Good !!!!

 
 
Peanut Butter / Nut Butter

Program 7

Ingredients:
• 4 cups roasted peanuts
• 4 Tbs. vegetable or peanut oil
• salt to taste (optional)

Place peanuts and oil in the blender. Process on Program 7 (or 80% for 2 seconds, 70% for 45 seconds, 85% for 45 seconds, 50% for 18 seconds). Keep refrigerated since there are no preservatives.

Martina loves to substitute almonds as well for great flavor Almond Butter.

 


 
Summertime Gazpacho

Program 20 - 10 seconds

• 3 large ripe tomatoes, quartered
• 1 medium red bell pepper, seeded & roughly chopped
• 1 medium green bell pepper, seeded & roughly chopped
• ¼ medium white onion, roughly chopped
• ½ medium cucumber, seeded and roughly chopped
• 1 cup low-sodium tomato juice
• 1 Tbs. sugar (or equivalent sugar substitute)
• 1 Tbs. red wine vinegar
• 1 Tbs. olive oil (optional)
• 1 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
• 2 Tbs. fresh Italian parsley, chopped
• salt to taste

Place all of the ingredients and process on Program 11 (80% for 2 seconds, 20% for 8 seconds). Chill before serving. Makes 5 cups of gazpacho.
